Yilin (Elaine) Chen is General Counsel at Renew Financial. Elaine has over a decade of extensive in-house counsel experience, specializing in lending, consumer protection regulations, and capital markets transactions. Prior to Renew, she served as the General Counsel at Hearth (a venture-backed fintech startup), and as Associate General Counsel at Angel Oak Companies, a leading originator and securitizer of non-QM residential mortgages.
Elaine earned her BA in Psychology and Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University, and her JD from Emory University School of Law. She lives in Oakland, where she enjoys exploring hiking trails with her family.
