The project we completed was for new windows, siding, and insulation in the house. The main driver for the project was putting new siding on the house as it was in disrepair, but then we also wanted to replace our windows. In our situation the program addressed our objectives. A word of a advice to homewoners, is that there will always be positives and negatives, but as a homeowner you just have to do your homework and realize that there is a higher interest rate, this goes on your property taxes and understand what that means, and that this is not free.

Overall, we are very satisfied with our decision and our experience dealing with Renew Financial. If we were talking to a friend we’d say that PACE financing is a great option for financing home improvements when other options may not be available or optimal for your needs.

If you want to do something that has a renewable energy component to it such as renewable-energy, safety, or energy-efficiency, PACE is definitely worth considering because it may be a great way to do it. Just be aware of the interest rates tend to be a little higher, you have to think about what it means to have this as a property tax assessment and how that may affect your mortgage, if it even would. PACE is a great thing to look at and it worked well for us.
